I went to see a King's X concert, for only the second time ever last year. I had 2 GC albums (Machine Fish & ATEOTD) and liked them, but I wasn't what you call a "true" GC fan, and I was really at the show for King's X. So the night of the concert came and I showed up extra early, so that I could be right in front of Ty Tabor for the King's X set. I was looking forward to seeing GC, but I thought the real fun would start when King's X hit the stage. So after positioning myself just right, I start to hear "ATEOTD" bubbling in the background, which erupted into "Where do I Sign?" ...... WOW ..... LET THE FIREWORKS BEGIN ..... some 90 or so minutes later I had to catch my freakin' breath! What a show! That was the most energy packed concert I've ever witnessed (and I have over 14 years of concert viewing experience under my belt). I quickly snatched up the remaining GC albums I didn't have already (going to E-bay to grab "SIYF", as it was already out of print). Oh yah, King's X didn't hold my attention much that night. They might have been on top of their game, but I was worn out from jumping and singing and yelling for the whole 90 minutes before King's X even hit the stage! Man, what a show! My friends, who knew I went to see King's X, asked me how the show was ..... I, in turn, couldn't stop talking about the performance the GC put on. I was now a "true" GC fan! I even got one of my friends at work hooked on the energy filled GC in a matter of days.
Fast forward to this morning. And I read the very disappointing news. UGGGGHHHH ....... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Please, one more album after the release of this year's release. And have Alan come back to play drums one more time ....... PLEASE!!!!!!
Take care guys and God bless!
