I just want to sing praises and disappointment with GC.I will tell my story to you here only because i thought it might be old dribble to the others using it. I first heard of the Galactic Cowboys probably very early in its creation. A friend of mine was nuts over you guys but i didn't pay much attention because I thought most of the bands he listened to sucked.OK, so I have been a big Kings'X fan since Gretchen came out and have gone to see them every tour since then.So ,Kings'X goes on tour for Earcandy and all of a sudden I see the name Galactic Cowboys on the bill. Then after some minor research I found out about your ties with kings'X and I was shocked I hadn't heard more of GC sooner.Anyway blah blah... I go to the show and I was totally blown away by you guys. You know how when you write that song and you here it and it all clicks and the hair on your arms stands up? I got that, that night at the show. You guys were great! Monty was a mad man,I loved Wally's style, Ben,i'm assuming your reading this, sounded great and Alan, although you don't see much of a drummer, he was spot on. I was so impressed with the whole show in gener! al and then to top it off I met Monty outside later that night and although he seemed slightly unstable on stage(in a good way)he was totally chilled and a really nice guy. After that I went right out and bought Machine Fish which was the album you were supporting and it's still one of my favorites to this day.I picked up the others also but that one is still my favorite. With all that being said, I was really bummed to hear of GC's demise.I caught on too late and the ride was much too short. Thanks for the hours of listening enjoyment and best of luck to you and the other guys!
