GC & company,

I saw GC open up for King's X on Halloween of 1998 in San Antonio, TX. In my opinion King's X didn't hold a candle to "the Boys" that night. One of my all time favorite GC songs is 9th of June. This song is about false prophecy and setting dates for "the end of the day" (sorry guys, I just had to do that). Since I am a fulltime missionary to Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons it, quite supernaturally, holds a special place in my heart (I'm tearing up) as both of these religions are guilty of setting failed dates. Anyway back to the concert, just as one song ended, I screamed, 9TH OF JUNE!!! Immediately the Boys tore into the opening crunch. (hang on a sec, I've got to go put that song on... ah, much better) As they started the song, the people around me looked at me kinda like, "how did you know?" I just ignored them and got into the song. The whole experience was amazing. Either these guys were waiting for me to yell out the song or it just happened to be the next song on the set list. On that Halloween, I sort of felt like a prophet. Yikes!
