To some extent, I had a similar experience to one of the other testimonials - basically having grown up with the 'Cowboys. I was a single student when I was turned on to you from your 'cross fertilization' efforts with King's X and (dare I say his name?) Sam Taylor. I got SIYF on tape and became an instant fan. I dug up a copy of the debut CD and then bought each subsequent release within two weeks of release (except for AtEOtD). I saw you all on the Machine Fish tour in NYC. The following year I got married and picked up a copy of THTBB on my way out of the country. I wound up spending 18 months in South Africa reading news over the net - starving for the AtEOtD in Fall 98. I finally had a family member purchase it in Ohio and send it to me. We moved back to the US in February 2, 1999 and I promptly bought tickets for the Detroit gig that very week! I picked up a T-Shirt at that show, but then was saddened to read later in the Spring that you couldn't make the European trip.
I now have two kids and grapple with the same bills as everyone else. As this collection of artists disperse, I hope to follow their future successes through the net. Good luck guys! Thanks for the tunes, the art and the attitude!
