Ben, Monty and Wally,
Heard the news the other week and finally decided to get round to putting something together to say thanks for all the years of great music. I first found out about the band on a very drunken visit to Max's in Ithaca, NY on my work abroad summer of '93. You guys had been there the night before and although I missed the show, some CDs were left behind, one of which was found on my person the next day. For my 3 fellow travellers and I, SIYF became the theme tune to our summer of working rubbish jobs in return for being able to play a few gigs around NY state.
From then on I was hooked and have tried to spread the word to as many people as I could about what you guys were up to. Every subsequent album has been a joy to hear and I can't wait for Let It Go as ATEOTD was so awesome.
We also got to see the band in London at the Garage on the Machine Fish tour. I didn't have that album at the time, but from the minute "Stress" began I knew that it had been worth the long wait.
So it is with a heavy heart, yet also with hope in the future that I'd like to bid you best wishes for all your future plans, whatever you choose to do.
Take it easy , Peace
Steve McCormack (Liverpool, England)
