I truly miss the G-Cowboys. I picked up Awful Truth's album upon recommendation by a friend. At that point I was hooked. Shortly thereafter the first Galactic Cowboys album came out and there was not an album or concert (in Seattle) that I missed. How to describe? Thinking man's metal. Alternative from the alternatives. Good guys putting out incredible rock. Underappreciated, undersold, under-known. They knew how to rock the crap out of people while maintaining a great sense of humor and intelligence. One of the top 5 shows of all time for me was King's X and Galactic Cowboys at the Rock Candy in Seattle. Incredibly fun.
Wish you guys were still at it, but know that things and times change. I'm now a professional with a family and supposedly refined taste, but still break out the Cowboys at full volume once a month or so for some pulse-cranking tunes and lyrics. See you guys later.
Cheers,
S
